The seminar was chaired by the International Cooperation Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and attended by more than 20 leaders and experts from the Resource & Environment Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Development and Reform Commission, the National Natural Science Fund Committee, the State Forestry Administration, the National Ministry of Agriculture, the International Mountain Center Commission Secretariat,  Cold & Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Xinjiang Department of Science and Technology, ICIMOD, the World Agroforestry Center and other units. Representatives discussed how to utilize the related resources and advantages to strengthen international cooperation between ICIMO and China on the basis of the introduction of the ICIMD and its new five-year plan
