The fifth conference “Management of Ecosystems and Environmental Changes in Arid Lands”（MEECAL）in Urumqi, China
The conference “Management of Ecosystems and Environmental Changes in Arid Lands” （MEECAL）will take place in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China from 9th September to 12th September, 2018. The conference will include diverse scientific sessions talking about the impact of climate change to arid lands, impact of human activities to arid lands, environmental processes, mitigation of climate change, water resources management in arid lands, ecosystem management and biodiversity in arid lands, sustainable management of ecosystem and socio-economy in arid lands.
The conference will be organized by the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography (XIEG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China and Technische University München, Germany.
The preliminary program is as follows:
Day 1 and day 2: Presentations
Day 3: Poster presentations (morning), and Workshop (afternoon)
Day 4: Day for your free disposal, Excursion
