| Xu Xinwen, male, born in January of 1963 in Heze City, Shandong Province, Han nationality. He graduated in 1986 from the forestry department of Xinjiang August 1st Agricultural College with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree and in July of the same year was assigned to work at Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography under the CAS till now. He is research fellow of the Insitute, member of academic/degree evaluation committee, doctoral/master's tutor, head of research office for desert environment and executive deputy head of prospecting and design office for desert projects under Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the CAS and chief engineer. In 1999 he was appointed associate research fellow and in 2001 promoted to research fellow. He is mainly engaged in the design, research and experimental construction in the fields of desertification control, improvement of wind-blown sand disaster, restoration and reconstruction of ecoenvironment under extreme conditions. |
