Main results:
The project aims to accelerate exchanges and cooperation in science and technology between four countries in the field of reasonable utilization of resources and regional sustainable development through carrying out an investigation and evaluation of current ecological environment in Altay region and the research on reasonable development and utilization of advantageous resources (water, tourism and biological resources) and regional sustainable development and build Altay international forum and monitoring network with China as the main part for the purpose of propelling all-round international cooperation in the region and improving research level of China in the problems of Central Asia. Related reseaches developed currently include united monitoring and basic research in resources and environment together with related experts from Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, information exchange, exchanges of scholars, holding special academic seminar and so on.
