XIEG Participates in 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals

The 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals opened in Shanghai from October 21 to 23. Under the theme "Gathering the Global Talents, Pursuing Win-Win Cooperation," the conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

The conference attracted over 2,600 foreign experts from more than 110 countries and regions, who gathered to discuss global talent development strategies and chart a new blueprint for international scientific and technological cooperation. SHEN Yiqin, Chinese State Councilor delivered the opening address via video and officially inaugurated the conference.

Opening Ceremony

The Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography (XIEG) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences actively participated in this conference. Through brochures, posters, videos, and on-site presentations, XIEG's representatives introduced the institute's outstanding achievements in scientific research, platform development, and talent exchange, and exchanged views with scholars and youth experts from multiple countries, including Russia, Pakistan, Belgium, Chile, and Argentina.

At the exhibition booth for Xinjiang, XIEG showcased a series of its sci-tech advancements in fields such as biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, desertification control, and water resource management.

As China's largest and most prestigious conference for international professionals, the event convened representatives from government agencies, research institutions, multinational corporations, and human resources service providers. Participants explored mechanisms for talent exchange and collaborative innovation. XIEG's participation significantly boosted the Institute's international profile and advanced sci-tech cooperation between China and countries along the Belt and Road.
