The 4th Seminar on Chinese Ethnobotany—the 3rd APAC Ethnobotany Forum (September 20 to September 22, 2009)

　　The seminar was co-sponsored by the Association for Chinese Ethnobotany, Xinjiang Association for Science and Technology, Kunming Institute of Botany, Banna Botanical Garden, South China Botanical Garden, Wuhan Botanical Garden, Turpan Desert Plants. More than 120 representatives from the United States, South Korea, Pakistan, France, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and China attended the seminar.

　　The seminar focused on five topics of the research and the latest progress on ethnobotany, approaches and means of ethnobotany and agriculture biodiversity conservation, the conservation and utilization potential of the wild relatives of cultivated plants, agriculture biodiversity in arid areas and its protection means, agriculture biodiversity, national culture diversity and the protection of the agricultural heritage.
