Professor LIU Huaisheng from National Taiwan University Visits XIEG

Professor LIU Huaisheng, director of Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU), led a delegation of NTU visited Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography (XIEG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) during the period of July 18-20, 2012. 

During the period, NTU and XIEG conducted academic exchange in the fields of pollution control, environment rehabilitation technique and green chemical engineering technology in arid inland area. Prof. CHEN Xi, director of XIEG, hoped that NTU and XIEG could gradually conduct cooperative research by this academic exchange. The delegation also visited the laboratory building and specimen museum of XIEG, Turpan Eremophytes Botanical Garden, CAS and Fukang National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station for Desert Ecosystems.

Professor CHEN Xi conferred a visiting fellow certificate to Prof. LIU Huaisheng and hoped that he could undertake the relevant scientific research assignments, train scientific research team and promote the development of disciplines during his appointed period.
